After the 2020 tart cherry harvest (which was the worst harvest since 2012), North American growers were hopeful that 2021 would bring bountiful crops in key growing regions, including Michigan. Mother Nature had different plans for the state of Michigan. It is entering into yet another short crop season. Like many things in today’s world, these are unprecedented times.
Although Cherry Central is adapting to the challenges in Michigan, we are fortunate to have growers throughout North America including Canada, Washington, Utah, and Idaho. Our diversification allows us to promise year over year availability of this fruit associated with good fortune, beauty, and the cycle of life. And they are domestically grown, not imported from places like Turkey and Poland.
Here at Cherry Central, we are also proud to offer a wide range of products that include more than one super fruit. Although cherry is in our name, we bolster our offering with blueberries in several forms across multiple market channels.
